Polocrosse
In 1938 the sport developed from a combination of polo, lacrosse and netball. It is credited as being one of only three truly Australian sports – the other two being Australian Rules Football and Camp drafting.
This unique sport is dubbed as the “King of the One Horse Sports” or sometimes referred to as Rugby on Horseback on a big netball court. The playing field is 146.5 m long and 55m wide, with goal posts at each end.
It is currently played in 18 countries and boasts over 10,000 players worldwide. Anyone who can ride a horse independently of any age can play polocrosse at an amateur/club level, and the sport will vastly help improve riding skills. More about the game click here
